Having a secure, reliable, stable and functional channel management system is critical to our accommodation business, and Channel Manager is our product of choice. Channel Manager’s web-based system is easy to navigate and has a good range of functionality to suit the sophistication of our business, for example handing multiple overlap rooms to help us to avoid the dreaded overbooking during peak season, as well as making the day-to-day tasks very easy, such as updating pricing across all connected OTAs, managing inventory and being able to keep track of what has already been sold. I like that I can log in securely and perform tasks from my phone when I am away from the office. Training new staff in the use of the system has never been a problem, and we find new staff are proficient after just one day of instruction. The Day Book provides a good overview of who is staying on any given dates (grouped by room type), and the simple one click process to open any particular reservation and then make modifications such as change of dates or even change of room type is also very useful. We have good feedback from our own hotel customers who book via the Channel Manager reservations engine connected to our website that they find our reservations system easy to use, which helps us to capture more reservations via our own website. Customers particularly like that they can see prices and availability over any 14 day period, so guests who are flexible with their stay dates are able to pick the days when it is cheaper to stay, and we have found that this also helps us to drive sales on otherwise low demand days, when we have dropped prices to capture more sales. The Channel Manager support team have been terrific over the years, helping us with the creation of new room types or special deals on major OTA websites, connecting to new OTAs and getting the most out of the Channel Manager system. Our choice of channel management, aptly named Channel Manager, is one less thing that I need to worry about when managing my hotel and so we highly recommend it.
